प्यार मे यह बेकरारी मीठा मीठा दर्द लाती है
यह दर्द कभी जुदाई के कभी दीदार की याद दिलाती है
यह तो दास्तान-ए-मोहब्बत है, अनमोल अहसासा
इश्क़ मे बेवफ़ाई भी कभी कभी हसीन रंग लाती है

yeh dard kabhi judai ke kabhi deedar ki yaad dilati hai
yeh to daastan-e-mohabbat hai, anmol ahsasa

आज अकाल के बाद बारिश होगी

पर फिर भी दिल तो आयेगा किसी की न चल सकी

अनेकता मे एकता!! यह है दोस्ती.. anekta me ekta!! Yeh hai DOSTI

दोस्तो को देख यह सूरत रंग बदलती है
सुख रहे तो इंतज़्ज़ार से भी तो खिल उठती है
ढाई इंच के मुस्कान जब चारे पे आती है
सामने वेल को यह खूब हँसती है

dosto ko dekh yeh surat rang badalti hai
sukh rahe to intzzar se bhi to khil uthti hai
dhai inch ke muskan jab chare pe aati hai
samne wale ko yeh khoob hansati hai

There was a friend of mine I once met when I was in my graduation 2nd year. I always admired his laughter. Even a slightest smile was laughter in real. May be you could say the loud laugh was actually meant a simple smile. When ever I heard the laugh over the phone or in real, it remained me of my father’s laughter. My father’s smile.

So true so pure. Nothing to hide while laughing. Nothing to pretend of. One fine day I thought of telling him how amazing I find his laughter and so I wrote this sher. As this little shayari was the only way I could express my gratitude and affection for his laughter, for his smiles. Hope it is a pleasant read

आप से एक बात कहनी थी
बुरा न मान जाना कही
गजब की है आप की हसी
इस कदर दिल खोल के हेस्ट
मैने किसे को देखा नही

On reading the above comment I had an instant thought. Honesty is all I have. The lines come to me and make a poem comes by it self. The lines together make the poem and thus my poetry is born. Honestly all that is here is me. I’m just, simple and plain, I am honest. Very instant reaction to the comment above was the poem right underneath. All I have to say once again … Honesty is all I have.

Honesty is all I have

I don’t have riches and gems

I don’t have a real estate

Truth to me all HE gave

I have no sorrow

I have no fear

Life to spend nothing to save

No anticipation to hold

The truth is these are not my words. Yes they have been put together by me but they have been said to me. The original thought isn’t mine. The feelings are not mine. I can feel the honesty and truth behind them. I can feel the joy and the pain. I know what it means to hear the words and I know the happiness it gives when you put it together as poetry. The honesty is in heart of the narrator, honestly did he speak. His fears are now over for the lovers are no more. I needed to share it for feelings are true.

I don’t know why but my feelings for you are all different
I don’t know why I miss you a lot
I don’t know why I’m addicted of you
I don’t know why I can’t stay a single day without talking to you
I don’t know why I always wait for you
I don’t know why I can’t stop myself when i want to call you
I don’t know why I go crazy when I can’t talk to you
I don’t know why I always feel you with me
I don’t know why I find my strength in you
I don’t know why I fear loosing you

Sun is a constant source of inspiration for me. I like watching sun go up and down the sky. I like to watch clouds play hide and seek with the sun. The deep blue skies hold the red and yellow sun so perfectly. Sun adds shine to everything it bestows its rays upon. The flowers bloom bright, the leaves look greener. Waters sparkle. Mirage shines on the desserts. So many beautiful and amazing aspects are associated with the sun. This is why sun is my inspiration.

This poem is also driven out of my inspiration from SUN… hope you find worthy of your praise.  

May the setting sun
setting to rise again
teach you the value of time
time that never stays
no regrets you always say
Sure regrets too wont stay
No matter what you do or say

They broke up my ribs
And took my heart away
I was distressed, devastated
I know, I know nothing

I can hear it beat
It’s beating all over again

I was an absconded orphan
I have a shelter now to sleep
I cried tears that burnt my skin
My lips feel a smile, no more I weep

This one comes of all the pain and hardships in life. Sorrow and death look so alike. And the survivor is…who recovers all the loss. Hopes and dreams have to live. Only the one who lives…DREAMS.

बदला तेरे सितम का तुझसे क्या ले
तेरे साथ गुम के दो घूट हम भी ले ले
दर्द सीने मे होता है साखी
इस दर्द के दवा तू हमसे ले ले

देख दूर उस किनारे के ओर
आपना रुख़ तू कर उजाले के ओर

The poem is inspirational. Sending the message to the broken hearted to not feel let down. There is no gain without pain and one must not complain for the pain they get. Hopes and dreams must be kept alive and the destination can be achieved.

Para 1: The poetess says, what am I to gain from avenging you. With you I’ll share your sorrows and suffer all pain you give me. I understand there are wounds deep in your heart, but my friendship and love will heal it all.

Para 2: Lo! The destination is not very far. With hopes in your heart move to the direction of your destination. Even if you come across those who betray you, you give love and be good to everyone. Live the life as it comes, don’t let the circumstances depress you and let you down.

There are many to sympathise
Who with me will empathise
I tuck my face into the pillow and cry
Scared to look up at the smiling sky
There seems no place to runaway and hide
Wishing you were by my side
with the mirror i tête-à-tête
who else is there with me
engraved on my heart is a testimony

This poem speaks of the world today, where there are very few to lend you an ear. Very few to hold your hand and even fewer to care. A lot will nod at what you say and then throw up on you behind your back. The reality is scary and painful. To have someone to count on and give your world to seems like a fairytale. This painful truth today has become a testimony of many.

This one has been written in 2004… I still remember I bunked my class to come online and surf YoIndia.com and I was so happy that day… .I had to describe myself and this is what came to my mind … I’m a lover and a friend!!
